Fallon & Burrascano Videos from Cape Cod Appea

Hi everyone...

I posted this a week ago and apparently it went from AOL into a black hole.
What else is new? Mary - hopefully this will answer your questions.

Subj:	CCLDAA Lyme Videos.
Date:	97-02-25 02:11:25 EST

Hi All,

I was asked by John Coughlin of the Cape Cod Lyme Disease Awareness Assn.,
MA, to post this info for you since they aren't hooked up to the net (in
fact, I'm not sure if they even have electricity up there yet <g>).
They've got a couple videotapes of symposiums they sponsored in 1996 that
they'd like you all to know about. So, if you can't make it to Westchester
tonight, but want to see Dr. Fallon speak, you can do the next best thing and
see him on tape. Please note that there are other organizations that offer
Lyme related videotaped lectures as well, including the Ohio group, who runs
and videotapes a super conference every year (contact Debbie Parrett -
parrett@erinet.com).

I've listened to portions of both CCLDA tapes to check out the quality and
clarity and I was satisfied with both. With all the tapes available out
there, maybe Joe, Donna, or Lymenet would like to start a web page for tapes
and books?

Steve

Dr. Brian Fallon - "Neuropsychiatric Lyme Disease: Microbes, Mood and
Politics"
   April 18, 1996, $19.95+$3.00 S&H - Dr. Fallon speaks to 150 people at
Cape Cod Community College (another 150 had to be turned away). An excerpt
from the newspaper article says, '..."There is a lot of denial in the
medical community about Lyme disease," he said. He later highlighted the
depression, fatigue and memory loss that can accompany the disease, which is
perhaps best known for producing aching joints and a bulls-eye rash. In fact,
Dr. Fallon said, many Lyme disease victims never develop a rash and only
suffer from arthritic symptoms after beginning treatment. In rare, severe
cases, Lyme disease patients may also become blind, develop dementia and
suffer from seizures.'

Dr. Joseph Burrascano - Issues in Diagnosis and Treatment of Lyme Disease
   September 19, 1996, $19.95+$3.00 S&H - Dr. Burrascano speaks to 600+
people (they sure get good turnouts up there!!) on Lyme issues. One newspaper
excerpt reads, '..."There has never been a study in this country that
says a treatment for 30 days is a cure," Dr. Burrascano, a graduate of
the New York School of Medicine, told the crowd. "There is no scientific
basis for it. It's just habit."...'
